The best ski resorts to go skiing in 2022-2023

We have officially said hello to winter. We can’t think of anything else other than where we will go for our winter holidays? Skiing for sure! If you still haven’t decided your ski destination yet, here are a few options to choose the best place for you for this winter 2022-2023.

Every ski resort has something different to offer! Once you choose your ski resort don’t forget to hire your ski clothing from Snow Clothing Hire for a full holiday pack! There are different resorts for different skiers. You can find our favourite ones here.

The resort for the foodies: Cortina

Everyone knows that in Italy the food is amazing. If we mix Italian food with a great ski around the forests of Cortina, you will fall in love with this quiet ski resort. You can breathe in the fresh air surrounded by nature and fill your stomach with food from the best restaurants on the mountains. Cortina has a great ski domain and that’s why it has been selected to host the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The resort for skiing on a budget: Andorra

Andorra is a well-known destination in Europe that is perfect for beginner skiers and families thanks to its good pricing and quality. In this tiny country on the Pyrenees, located between Spain and France, you will find slopes for all the levels and après ski bars in every corner once you are done with skiing! The prices of restaurants, shops and lift passes are nothing compared to the Alps or US ski resort, so it’s a recommendable place to visit.

The resort for the summer: Zermatt

Zermatt is surrounded by the beautiful view of the Matterhorn peak and it still has the alpine atmosphere from years ago. This Swiss ski town is characterised by it's inaccesibility by conventional cars. It can only be accessed by electrical vehicles or horse carriages. The slopes reach an altitude of 3820m which allows the snow to stay all year round, making it a great destination for summer skiing as well. If you don’t have a holiday during winter don’t worry, you can try a summer ski holiday in Zermatt!

The resort of the Santa lovers: Narvikfjellet

You can find this Norwegian ski resort only a few km from the North Pole which is a very special place. In this beautiful resort you can ski under the Northern Lights, explore arctic nature and visit Santa’s house.  An actual dream.

The resort for the freeride skier: Chamonix

It is located under the majestic Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe. It’s the perfect destination for a freeride adventure. Chamonix is well known for its back country terrain full of trees, glaciers and steep off piste. Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in Europe, offering a ski culture and history that can be palpable on the atmosphere of this lively town. The après ski is full of shopping, bars and spas to complete your ski day.
